Prosecutors are expected to call Stormy Danielsto the stand today in Donald Trump’s historic New York criminal hush money trial, a source familiar with the matter tells CNN. Its unclear if she will be called first this morning.
The adult film star was paid $130,000 – the "hush money" payment – to keep her from going public before the 2016 election about her alleged affair with Trump.
The payments Trump made to Michael Cohen, which prosecutors allege was reimbursement for paying off the adult film star ahead of the election, are at the heart of the 34 charges of falsifying business records. Trump has pleaded not guilty.
Yesterday, two longtime Trump Organization employees walked the jury through the financial documents tied to the reimbursement.
