The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, has expressed his gratitude to the outgoing World Bank Country Director, Dr. Shubham Chaudhari, for his significant contributions to Nigeria’s economic development.

At a farewell event in Abuja, Mr Edun highlighted the World Bank’s impact on the nation’s economy and Dr Chaudhari’s dedication to Nigeria’s growth.

He disclosed this in a statement signed by the Ministry’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Mohammed Manga, made available to PUNCH Online on Tuesday.

Shubham Chaudhuri has been serving as the Country Director for Nigeria since 2019. Before assuming this role, he was the World Bank Country Director for Afghanistan.

Edun praised Chaudhari’s leadership, stating, “Your leadership and expertise have made a significant impact on our country’s progress.”

He emphasised the importance of the World Bank’s support in achieving the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
